The Ice Worlds are coming!

Everyone knows about "The Ice Age"; usually a reference to Earth's most recent global cold snap that abated 12,000 years ago. Fewer people know that the last two million years may have hosted 50 or more glacial advances and retreats and glacial climates are far from a recent phenomenon in Earth's history.

Discover how glacial climates and life interact to shape evolution and the biosphere with presentations on everything from pre-Cambrian Snowball Earth to Carboniferous glaciations, to more familiar Pleistocene pulses of cold. Enjoy workshops on glaciers, ice age mammals, and artist-scientist collaborations that bring these worlds to life. The symposium will feature poster sessions, displays, and an ever-growing gallery of outstanding paleo-art. As always, a highly discounted rate is available for students.
