Founded in 1985, WIPS is based in Denver, Colorado, and currently has over 300 members throughout the Western Interior, the United States and occasionally in foreign countries.
Individual or family membership is open to anyone who shares a common interest in fossils and earth science. Our diverse membership comes from varied backgrounds, encompassing both personal passions and professional careers.
Members enjoy monthly programs, field experiences, community outreach activities, classes, and a biennial symposium. The Society’s newsletter, Trilobite Tales, is published nine months a year.
