Field Experiences

WIPS offers several and varied field experiences to its members each year. Experiences range from visits to pay quarries, to trips to sites known to produce fossils, to arranged activities performed under permit in service to federal land managers.

Field trip leaders are all volunteers who have a wide range of experience and knowledge. They are certain to help you add value to your fossil collection or personal research by sharing their in-depth understanding of the sites visited and the fossils collected.

Always on the lookout, we welcome new member field trip leaders for visiting familiar sites,  as well as researching and investigating new ones. Experienced members help new and aspiring leaders become effective by providing education and knowledge for conducting safe and rewarding field experiences.
